A good place to begin if you want to try vegan recipes-- begin with dessert. The author has a section describing how to incorporate different flours such as barley and quinoa, and also explains the substitute ingredients such as how flax powder and water replace eggs. And they are a great replacement too- you will never miss the eggs. Ive made various cakes, brownie, and cookie recipes,and they have all been raved about by guests. This is a book Ill return to again and again even when i dont need a vegan recipe. Thats saying a lot!
